From Year 3, dancers follow our two pathways: Classic Stars for ISTD Ballet and Lyrical, and Dynamic Stars for ISTD Modern and Tap. They can take Classic, Dynamic or both.

One brilliant weekly class
Galaxy Stars combines ISTD Ballet, Modern and Tap in one class. Each term has a theme, and imaginative activities build confidence, coordination and sound technique.
Dancers can work towards an ISTD Primary Ballet exam or an in-house assessment when they are ready.
Galaxy Stars runs twice on Saturday morning as two separate groups in different studios. Your dancer joins one of them.
Ballet, Modern and Tap
Ballet
Dancers work on technique, musicality and posture in a nurturing class.
Modern
Dancers work on expressive movement, strength and performance, and learn their dances as a team.
Tap
Let's get our feet talking! Rhythm, coordination and clear footwork.
ISTD exams
Ready for exam day
Dancers take ISTD exams when they are ready. This short video shows what to expect, and the dance exams page has the details.
Galaxy Stars uniform
- Lilac school skirted leotard, pink socks, ballet shoes and tap shoes
- Or a turquoise school top or purple school T-shirt, black cycle shorts, white socks, white ballet shoes and tap shoes
