Your first class
Leggings and a T-shirt, or a leotard. We have plenty of spare ballet shoes and tap shoes to borrow.

Friday Inters
For dancers in the Inters grades, ISTD Grades 2 to 4.

Invite and audition only
These classes cannot be booked. The studio invites dancers into them, or dancers join by audition.
Associates
Invite onlyAn invite-only class for serious dancers who want to work on strength and technique, and to be part of the festival team.
Senior Condition + Pointe
Invite onlyFor vocational dancers at Grade 6 and Intermediate level. Ballet and pointe here form part of their normal training at that level.
Theatre Performance Company
Audition onlyPlaces are offered by audition. Read about the performance pathway.
Become a student helper
Senior dancers can train alongside teachers in younger classes, learning class management and teaching strategies.
Helpers are trusted senior dancers, and the role builds their confidence, teamwork and communication.

I started dancing at LLDS as a little three year old and have done so much with the school, dancing in the West End at so many different theatres and my last adventure was dancing on the cruise ship around the Mediterranean. It's been a fantastic journey and I will really miss everyone at my dancing home.
Lucy Lovick Dance Studio has been my home for the past 15 years. The teachers who believed in me, friends who became family, classes, rehearsals and performances have given me memories and lessons I'll never forget. The school shaped the dancer and person I am today, and I will carry that support and love into my next chapter at university.
The community and atmosphere at LLDS is truly special. The teachers helped me settle quickly and feel welcome from the moment I joined, allowing me to grow in confidence and reach my potential. I will take that with me as I study Architecture at the University of Cambridge and hope to continue dancing alongside my studies.
I've been at LLDS for 12 years and couldn't imagine a world without it. It has been my home, family and favourite place to be. I made lifelong friends, danced at Disneyland and on a cruise, and found such a passion for dance that I am going on to study it as a degree.
I've danced at LLDS for eight years. It has been an amazing place to grow as a dancer and build confidence in and out of school. I can look back at fond memories of the friends I made and the hard work we put into every class.
LLDS has been my home for 15 years. I started as a tiny three year old, terrified of my first class, and leave with wonderful experiences and opportunities. It is where I made some of my best memories, shared time with friends and achieved things I had worked hard to improve.
Senior uniform
Thursday Seniors
Option 1: Black leotard in any style, ballet tights, ballet shoes, pointe shoes and black tap shoes. Black leggings may be worn over the leotard, or the exam blue all-in-one for Modern and Tap.
Option 2: School T-shirt or leotard with black LLDS joggers. Optional unitard, plus Ballet, Jazz and Tap shoes.
Friday Inters
Option 1: Purple school leotard, black Lycra leggings and black tap shoes for Modern and Tap. Teal or black school leotard, ballet tights, ballet shoes and pointe shoes for Ballet. The exam blue all-in-one may also be worn for Modern and Tap.
Option 2: School T-shirt or leotard with black LLDS joggers. Optional unitard, plus Ballet, Jazz and Tap shoes.
Please check the pointe shoe requirement with the studio before buying any. There is no pointework class on Friday in the autumn timetable.
Ballet Repertoire Company
Add-on · Invitation onlyDancers from ISTD Grade 2 upwards learn classical repertoire with our Head of Ballet, Miss Melinda. The class runs on Saturdays, alongside core Ballet training.

Finding the right level
Our Principal places each dancer in the most suitable programme. New dancers complete a three-week trial so the team can identify the correct grade.
Every fee is listed on the fees page. A dancer joining from another school should read the terms and conditions before the trial.
